El día martes 20 de Agosto, se realizó la Ceremonia Oficial protocolar en conmemoración de los 116 años del Liceo Santa María La Blanca.
El evento tuvo lugar en el gimnasio del establecimiento y contó con la participación de autoridades regionales, municipales, invitados especiales y por miembros de la comunidad escolar.
La ceremonia contó con las palabras de la Sra. María Angélica Norambuena. También entregaron sus saludos el Sr. Felipe Riffo Maechel, en representación del Alcalde de Valdivia; la Jefa Dirección de Educación Municipal de Valdivia; el Sr. Tomás Mandiola Lagos, Seremi de Educación; el Sr. Helmuth Palma Oyarzo, Seremi de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio; y la Presidenta del Centro General de Padres del Liceo.
